The best punchlines are sometimes unplanned.
A perfectly timed reaction. An unexpected answer. A familiar situation that suddenly turns ridiculous. Everyday comedy works because we recognize a little of ourselves in it. A tiny moment can become the part of the day you want to tell someone about.
Tell the story your way.
Start with what happened, keep the setup short, and let the surprising detail do the work. You do not need to turn a passing moment into a performance. A clear caption and your own voice are usually enough.
Let everyone stay in on the joke.
Someone’s private life or embarrassment should not be the price of a laugh. Ask before sharing a recognizable person, leave private details out, and choose a joke you would be comfortable explaining to the person in it.
